That was my only complaint: that Chopra covered so much, he sacrificed going into specifics.My favorite part was when he discussed how the body is literally shaped by repressed emotions. Deepak Chopra Books How To Or ANot a how to or a rigidly prescriptive program -- this is more about a change in point-of-view: the relationship between Mind and the brain is something everyone should take some time to think about. The book did talk about a lot of physics and science and I have to mention this because the title has Spirituality and I was really skeptic if Authors would talk about Physics in any detail. We are all caught in a dualistic world, between what we see as good and evil, god and the devil, saint and sinner, light and shadow. But if we embrace ourselves and see all these as belonging to us. I picked up this book on a whim after perusing the anemic self help section at my local Barnes and Noble. I didnt know much about any of the three authors, although I had heard of Chopra. Im not against counting audiobooks on Goodreads, so I will.:PI very much enjoyed this book. It gave some great insight into the human psyche, and confirmed things about people in general that you were a. ![]() It. Having said that, as you can see, I only gave it three stars. The words are easy to understand and the scenes are easy to imagine. Not a life-changing book for me, but there were some of his observations and spiritual instructions made me stop and think. He makes his point in a quick and simple fashion, and you arent drowned in complex philosophy commentary. Its one of those books that leave you thinking, willing to change, give space to self-improvement. A short, quick read.On page 13, he unveils his formula for happiness:Happiness Set Point Conditions of Living Voluntary Activities. We all have a certain set point, which is how naturally happy you are. I am also currently at a sort of crossroads in my life, with me desperately needing guidance as to solve a number of issues that are holding me back. The first third was interesting, about Muhammad growing up an orphan and snippets of his life and personality viewed through third parties. The second third was also interesting, with Muhammad being exposed to the intrigues of his time and eventually seeing the angel o. Now whenever I read something about Islam or Muhammad, I wont feel entirely ignorant. As a historical fiction, it wasnt the best, but the author was able to keep my attention throughout. I. Im also not fond of spending big bucks for crappy cafeteria food, so I pack my lunch, refrigerate it, andgaspreheat it in the microwave.
